I/Q Demodulators

Vector (quadrature) demodulators are used to transfer high-frequency (RF) signal to zero in frequency domain. They are also called I/Q-demodulators. One has the output signal in form I(t)+jQ(t), i.e. two output channels. The general parameters are listed below.

  • RF input frequency range;
  • I or Q channel band;
  • Quadrature phase error;
  • Noise figure (NF);
  • Input 3-rd order interception point (IIP3);
  • Gain range;
  • Dynamic band.
