DC/DC Converter, 4-ch, 55WConverter forms a set of voltages +3.3V, +5V, +9V, -12V from input +12..+14V DC supply. This block is designed for power supply of RF-blocks, which require several external voltage levels, allowing to reduce dimensions of RF-block, and sufficiently reduce power consumption, as well as exclude inducing currents from power chokes on sensitive input stages or local oscillators of RF-block.

As a rule in our RF designs, +3.3V is used for supply of digital internal static lines and for external control logic, +9V – for current gain blocks and output stages, +5V – for general analog ICs and voltage gain blocks, -12V – for low consumption negative offset circuits and dual power ICs, +12V – for power output stages and doublers used in VCO control circuits. Of course, all supplies in RF-block should be supplied to LDO with (0.2 – 0.5 V dropout) first following each IC group or section. Due to small dropout efficiency loss is negligible, but isolation increases significantly.
